Security is part of the design.
While building MOODS we weighed every decision with one question: is this data really needed, and how is it protected? Here is how we protect your communities and conversations.
Encryption in transit
The app, servers and media connections are encrypted with TLS. Files are served from a separate, cookieless domain.
End-to-end encrypted calls
Private and group calls are end-to-end encrypted, with keys delivered only to the people in the call. Admins can turn it on for community voice rooms.
Account security
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Two-factor authentication, backup codes, a session list and new-device verification are built in.
Data minimisation
We collect only what is needed. IP addresses are hashed with a rotating salt, location data is stripped from images and only the year and month of birth are kept.
Moderation tools
Three-state permissions, AutoMod, slow mode, raid protection, the moderation queue and the audit log are in community admins’ hands.
Reporting
Report any message, profile or community in two clicks. The reporter’s identity is never shared with the reported person.
Safe defaults for teens
MOODS is for people 13 and older. For users under 18 the sensitive media filter starts at its highest level and direct messages are limited to friends by default.
Your KVKK rights
You can download a copy of your data, delete your account and exercise your rights under KVKK Article 11. Details are in the KVKK Privacy Notice.
Vulnerability disclosure
If you find a security vulnerability, please tell us before disclosing it publicly. We review reports, verify findings and share the fix timeline with you. Please test only with your own accounts, without accessing user data or disrupting the service.
